Diversity Travel Support

Up to $200/person travel support is available for the first 10 registered underrepresented presenters. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to apply for it.

The McGhee Tyson Airport is 20 minutes away from UT campus. You can take taxis or rent a car to the hotel.

Parking

Student ParkingLimited visitor parking and metered parking are available on campus. Follow the interactive map and choose “Visitor Parking”. Visitor parking areas will be highlighted in red.

The closest visitor parking area to the Chemistry Building and the conference location (University Center) is G15 Volunteer Hall Parking Garage. Download the SURC label below, print and display it on your car to get a conference parking rate of $5 maximum for all day. Otherwise the parking garage operates on a half hour basis and charges $1/half hour.

If you are staying at hotels in downtown area, you are also encouraged to park your car at the hotel and walk or take trolley (free) to campus. Trolley map.
