Chemistry Students Won Awards at Annual Women in STEM Symposium

Three chemistry graduate students Ashleigh Barnes, Lena Elenchin and Laura Casto and one chemistry undergraduate student Lauren Finney won best oral and poster presentaion awards at the 2nd Annual Women in STEM Research Symposium hosted at Min Kao Building on Friday, April 15th. Among awardess, Laura Casto also won Margaret “Tina” Riedinger Societal Impact Award. The symposium attracted almost 40 talks and more than 50 posters in all areas of STEM.
