Miller and Seymour win Poster Competition

Miller and Seymour win BOV Poster CompetitionThis year’s annual board of visitors poster session competition featured 15 chemistry department graduate students. Participants presented their research posters to the board and two winners were awarded the opportunity to present during the 2019 CHEM 501 Seminar Series.

Lindsay Miller has been working with Professor Tessa Calhoun’s lab group. Her research presentation focused on probing living bacterial membrane dynamics using second harmonic generation.

Bryan Seymour has been conducting research with Professor Bin Zhao’s lab group. His presentation explored the potential of silica nanoparticles as additives for friction and wear reduction in low viscosity polyalphaolefin base oils.
