Electronics and Machine Shops

The support shops in the Department of Chemistry provide a variety of services to faculty, staff, and students within the department.

The electronics shop is staffed with experienced technicians who maintain and repair research instruments, design and construct novel electronic devices, and perform computer support. The shop is located in 215 Buehler.

The machine shop includes a state-of-the-art numeric control (CNC) milling machine, a Hass ST-20Y and machinists with over 25 years’ experience in fabricating a wide range of objects for to meet researcher needs. The machine shop is located in 105 Buehler.
