- Sign and return your offer letter to the Graduate Program Administrative Associate
- International students, please visit the Center for Global Engagement for additional information on visas, pre-travel checklists, and more.
- Review the departmental graduate student handbook linked to the right.
- Be on the lookout for a paperwork packet in July, to be completed prior to orientation.

Student Support Offices/Units
Big Orange Pantry – The Big Orange Pantry provides a variety of non-perishable and fresh foods, hygiene products, and other essential items supporting basic needs.
International House – The International House is proud to welcome all students to engage and grow as global citizens by hosting a variety of culturally immersive programs and events throughout the year.
Program for Excellence & Equity in Research (PEER) – PEER provides mentoring resources for incoming Ph.D students.
Office for Campus Culture and Community – The Division of Student Life has established the Office for Campus Culture and Community to foster a supportive and connected community for all undergraduate and graduate students. This office brings together some initiatives previously led by the Pride Center and Multicultural Student Life under a new and expanded range of services.
Smokey’s Closet – Smokey’s Closet provides free, gently used professional and business casual clothing, shoes, and accessories to all students, faculty, and staff at UT.
UT Free Store – The Free Store is UT’s sustainable thrifting initiative that gives away gently used items through their 22nd St store and at on-campus pop up events at no cost.
Student Health and Wellness
Student Health Center – On-campus clinics, 24-hour nurse line, emergencies and after-hours care.
Student Counseling Center – The Student Counseling Center is the primary mental health resource for students on the UT Knoxville campus.
Crisis Resources – During regular business hours, contact the Student Counseling Center to ask for a crisis appointment. After hours confidential mental health counselors are also available for emergent support. 865-974-2196
