The polymer chemistry division consists of research groups investigating precise molecular synthesis, polymer structure and dynamics, nanoscale assembly, and material performance. The division has strong ties to Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the UT College of Engineering. Our recent efforts have targeted polymer recycling, developing polymers with specific structural and dynamic properties, energy capture and storage, and sustainable materials.
