Chem 501 Seminars

Throughout the fall and spring semesters the department hosts Chem 501 seminars, a series of academic lectures for graduate students. The seminars feature the work of prominent researchers from both our department and other national institutions. A complete list of seminars for the current semester is available here.

Welcome Picnic

Each August, faculty and students participate in a welcome picnic sponsored by the ACGS where new students can get to know faculty and peers, and existing students can reconnect with each other and members of the department.

Honors Day

In April, the department hosts Honors Day, where students, faculty, and staff are recognized for outstanding achievements and service to the department. Awards and fellowships for current graduate students are announced at this event.

Field Day

At the end of Spring semester students, faculty, and staff come together to relax and play games during the annual Field Day.
