NMR

The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Facilities are equipped with five NMR spectrometers that are used for teaching, research and services. Four of the NMRs are Solution State instruments; one 300 MHz, two 500 MHz and one 600 MHz. The fifth instrument is a 400 MHz Solid State NMR. The 600 MHz spectrometer is equipped with a cold probe intended for biological studies. It is mainly utilized to study proteins and peptides. A brand new 500 MHz is dedicated to variable temperature studies, with a temperature range from negative 150 oC to 150 oC. Also, the autosampler is equipped with a cooling system that can keep the samples at 4 oC to avoid degradation. This feature is intended for metabolomics studies.
